Boston Area Transportation
There are many options for getting around the Boston area other than driving. See below for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's maps of the Commuter Rail and Subway systems. The Commuter Rail extends from Boston to the north, south, and west of the city and ends at two main arrival points: North Station and South Station. From these stops you can transfer over to the Subway to get around the city. Click on either map below for more information including updated schedules and fare information. The MBTA also offers bus and boat options to suit your transportation needs.
If you wish to travel to and from the Boston area by air, there are four main airports within two hours of the city: Boston's Logan Airport, Warwick, Rhode Island's T.F. Green Airport, Windsor Locks, Connecticut's Bradley Airport, and Manchester, New Hampshire's Manchester Airport.
