Learn & Earn / Home Search / Next Topic Multiple Listing Service Massachusetts is served by several Multiple Listing Service (MLS) providers but the largest of them is Multiple Listing Service Property Information Network (MLSPIN) which serves most of the state. Their service is the largest in New England and one of the top 10 in the nation. Until the advent of the Internet and the publication of www.realtor.com, home buyers were excluded from having access to homes listed on the member only, proprietary computerized database. Maintained for real estate professionals who pay dues for access -- inputting listings and searching for homes -- it is the most direct and focused way to find realtor-listed homes on the market. The database has a MEMBER ONLY website at www.mlspin.com and currently provides access to over 30,000 homes listings provided by their nearly 15,000 members. The MLS also provides a deed transfer database, the tax records and assessments and a searchable address and telephone directory for their members. Home buyers can find the same MLS-listed homes on www.realtor.com. Buyer's Choice Realty provide access and even daily e-mail updates to the new listings for which there is a delay in appearing on realtor.com.
